Hua Hin beach itself runs for approximately 7 km south of the main entrance at The Sofitel Hotel, all the way to Khao Takiab. Although the first kilometre can be busy with restaurants and deck chairs, you’ll find some more secluded sites, with watering holes, at regular intervals as you walk south. Watersports are becoming more popular and include jetskiing, kiteboarding, waterskiing and banana boats.

Hua Hin Railway Station is one of the most beautiful train stations in Thailand. The station in red and white colors was built in 1926 to replace the original station and has a Victorian gingerbread design with lots of carved wood pillars and trim.

Klai Kangwon Palace, lit. ‘far from worry’ was the primary summer royal residence of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) of Thailand. Commissioned by King Prajadhipok (Rama VII) in 1926 and completed in 1933, the palace’s main residence buildings are named Piam Suk, Pluk Kasem, Oep Prem, and Em Pridi.

Hua Hin District is one of eight districts of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province in the northern part of the Malay Peninsula in Thailand. Its seat of government, also named Hua Hin, is a beach resort town. The district’s population was estimated at 63,091 in December 2017 by the Bureau of Registration Administration in an area of 911 km2. By road, it is 199 km south-southwest of Bangkok.
